Individual Therapy with Pamela

Please note: Pamela is not currently accepting individual clients.

You don’t have to carry this alone.

If you grew up in an invalidating environment, you may have spent much of your life wondering why relationships feel so hard, why it’s difficult to trust yourself, or why your nervous system never seems to fully relax.

Perhaps you’ve become exceptionally good at taking care of everyone else while struggling to know what you need.

Maybe you’ve spent years in therapy, reading books, practicing mindfulness, and doing everything you can to heal, and yet something still feels stuck.

If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone. Healing from an invalidating childhood isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about understanding the ways you learned to survive and creating new experiences that allow your nervous system, your relationships, and your sense of self to begin changing.

A Different Kind of Therapy

My work is grounded in a simple belief: We heal most deeply through safe, authentic relationships.

In therapy, you’ll find a compassionate space where you can slow down, become curious about your patterns, and begin relating to yourself with greater kindness and understanding.

With support, you’ll explore how your early experiences continue to shape your life today while gently practicing responding with more awareness, more choice, and more self-compassion.

During sessions, I integrate mindfulness, nervous system regulation, somatic and experiential practices, attachment-based therapy, and relational healing. Each session is tailored to you. There is no one-size-fits-all approach because every healing journey is unique.

You Might Be Seeking Therapy Because

  • You grew up with an emotionally unpredictable or invalidating parent.
  • You struggle to trust yourself or your decisions.
  • You feel responsible for everyone else’s emotions.
  • You find yourself repeating painful relationship patterns.
  • You live with chronic shame, anxiety, or self-criticism.
  • You long to feel more at ease in your own body and your own life.
  • You understand your patterns intellectually but want to experience lasting change.

What Healing Can Feel Like

Over time, therapy can help you:

  • Develop greater self-trust
  • Quiet your inner critic
  • Create healthier boundaries
  • Experience more ease in your body
  • Build relationships that feel safer and more reciprocal
  • Reconnect with your authentic self
  • Move beyond survival toward a life with greater freedom, connection, and belonging

About My Approach

For more than two decades, I’ve been devoted to understanding what truly helps people heal from the lasting impact of invalidating childhoods and developmental trauma.

I developed ReParentive® Therapy to bring together the approaches I’ve found most transformative—mindfulness, nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, and the healing power of authentic relationships. Above all, I believe that healing happens when we experience the safety, compassion, and connection that many of us longed for growing up.

People often tell me they leave our work together feeling deeply seen, understood, and more connected to themselves. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on your own healing journey.
